As I understand it, and I only know what I've read on the internet, it includes various rehabs depending on what the patient needs. I know that vestibular rehab and visual rehab are 2 of the things they do, and they do other things, too. Depending on your particular issues there may be cheaper ways of dealing with your problems. I've had cognitive rehab in the past, and insurance covered it. I'm currently doing vestibular rehab, and insurance covers it. I would recommend vestibular rehab or cognitive rehab if needed as they are the only ones I've had. I think functional neurology is still considered somewhat experimental which is why your insurance may not cover it.

I was very surprised my the cost of the initial consult. I thought it would be cheaper or free.

Definitely helped me. First time in 13 yrs after all docs and multiple therapies.I went to Dr. Jeremy Schmoe in Minnesota for the week intensive. Stayed for 3 weeks. Best thing I ever did.

My sons severe TBI was 12 1/2 years ago. He’s now 35. He has had more progress with his functional neurologist in the past 8 months than everything else combined in 12 years! His Dr. studied at the Carrick Inst.
