speech language pathologist

Absolutely.  Once we establish speech and language communication, we move on to cognition.  Once cognition gets better, you go into executive functioning.  Executive functioning is the umbrella for cognitive therapy, it’s an even higher type of function.  It's more of that meta-cognitive ability - insight, decision making, prioritizing, planning events.  Those would be the things that we would target in executive functioning.  And a lot of these things overlap.  It’s the next step in cognitive therapy.
