I have been dealing with a lot of stress since my TBI. How did you deal with it?

Yes, a brain injury can play with your mind like that. My son is 16 years post-TBI and still has moments like the one you are experiencing. When he gets in one of those moods, he uses stress relieving techniques he was taught. Breathing deeply, listing things he's grateful for, journaling and getting more rest. He also listens to music of all sorts, usually classical when he needs to relax.

Your brain uses 12percent more energy than a muscle of equal size. Watch for signs of exhaustion, I get awful headaches that start behind my eyes then I know it's time to get away from everything. Good luck to you and I hope you get this figured out.

I find it helps to see a specialist or psychologist also stay off of tech and take the day slowly.
