Answer transcribed from Brightway's interview with recreational therapist Allison Huck:

Recreation therapy can definitely help enhance the social life of participants. A lot of community programs offer group activities. which can help facilitate building those relationships with others with TBIs, people that have had shared experiences. A lot of those programs might be on hold currently, but there's still a lot of other opportunities where people can participate in outdoor recreation and leisure in a safe way. I'd encourage people to get involved in support groups, a lot of which are happening virtually right now. Make connections with others through that but also check into some outdoor opportunities that you can engage in. This includes things like a cycling program or there might be outdoor fitness classes.
